Exams

Exams policy

• During the exam, follow instructions of the proctors.
• No books, notes, electronic devices (cell phones, calculators, laptops, iPods, etc.) are allowed during the exam in the exam room and outside. (No phone calls during a bathroom trip!) Once the exam has begun, having notes, books or electroic devices on the desk or in view will be considered cheating.
• Within the first 30 minutes of an exam, no students will be allowed to leave the exam room. No students arriving after the first 30 minutes will be allowed to take the exam.
• Show your Stony Brook ID and sign up a picture sheet while turning in your exam paper.
• If you have a university-approved reason for taking an exam at a time different than the scheduled exam, please contact Julia Viro before the exam.
• Graded exams will be handed back in recitation. It is your responsibility to get your graded work back.
• Cheating and its consequences.
