We have made local copies of some very cool multimedia math sites so that you can enjoy fast access. Remember: red links are local (although, in this case, not necessarily to sites created by us) while orange links take you out into the big wide web.

- This link takes you to the departmental home page where you will be able to find information on, amongst other things, our faculty, course schedules, and graduate program.
- Stony Brook Home Page
- This is the university's home page. You can use it to explore the university's libraries, calendars, departments, and much more. Here are directions to the university as well as maps of the campus.
- Undergraduate Bulletin
- Here is the complete on-line version of the Stony Brook undergraduate bulletin. It includes detailed listings of all undergraduate courses offered by the university, as well as faculty lists, and loads of general information.
- The Mathlab
- The Math and Applied Math departments maintain a computer laboratory for use by students and in teaching: the mathlab. Check it out.

- This site has something for students, teachers, and parents. Follow the links to the students area where you'll find games, puzzles, and something on the wonders of math -- you can even get help with your homework!
- The MacTutor history of mathematics archive
- Here, you'll find biographies of famous mathematicians, and lots of information on historical topics, famous curves, and much, much more.
- The mathematical atlas
- You can find out about more about the different branches of mathematics -- including algebra, geomtery, number theory, dynamical systems, analysis, and much more -- at this excellent site.
- The Shodor Foundation
- This group is dedicated to the advancement of science and math education, specifically through the use of modeling and simulation technologies.
- World of mathematics
- Wolfram hosts Eric Weisstein's world of mathmatics. They claim to be "the web's most extensive mathematics resource". Check 'em out!
- DiffEQ Resource Center
- This site has loads of resources for students interested in differential equations.
- What's new in math?
- This is an archive of the AMS's "what's new in mathematics feature column." These columns are loaded with cool info on some of the hottest topics in modern math. They cover topics ranging from DNA computing to differential geometry to the mathematics of Bach canons.
- Millenium prize problems
- The CMI Millennium Prize Problems focus attention on a small set of long-standing mathematical questions, each central to mathematics, which have resisted many years of experts's serious attempts to solve them. Have you got any ideas?

- This site contains many of the definitions and theorems from abstract algebra, and is intended for undergraduate students taking an abstract algebra class at the junior/senior level, or for students taking their first graduate algebra course.

- The geometry center
- Although the geometry center at the University of Minnesotta has closed down, this site still contains many cool images, formulas, videos, exercises, resources, and lab materials. Some of this material can also be found on the movies page.

- This is an excellent on-line version of Euclid's classic book.

- This site has a very pretty presentation and quite a bit of mathematics.
