These problem sets are primarily to help students master the material. The problems are drawn from various sources, including the recommended textbooks (but students are not required to purchase these textbooks).

• Problem Set 1 is due Monday, February 18.

• Problem Set 9. Please read a proof of Ado's Theorem. One source is Theorem 4.99, p. 58 of the following textbook http://categorified.net/LieGroupsBook.pdf. There is also a nice presentation of the proof in the appendices of Fulton-Harris.
